If you were a fan of the original Ragnarok Odyssey, you'll probably be happy to hear that its reimagination, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, has recently been scheduled for release on April 1, 2014. Originally announced at E3 2013, this upgraded edition will feature new campaign content, as well as post-story gameplay. Players will essentially be playing through what feels like a brand new game with the original story tacked on.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is coming to the PS Vita and PS3 very soon according to Ryan Graff, a member of the localization teams from XSEED Games. He announced the following on a post on the PlayStation Blog:
As I write this, we’re putting the finishing touches on Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, a revised and expanded version of the original Ragnarok Odyssey set to launch on April 1st on PS3 and PS Vita.
Expect to get your console Cross-Play multiplayer and campaign fun soon! If you already own the original Ragnarok Odyssey, you'll be free to port all of your content over and re-download all previously purchased DLC, increasing the overall experience.
As an incentive to buy a retail copy, the PlayStation Vita physical version also includes the game and the soundtrack for $39.99; the digital version is just $34.99 but doesn't include the music. The PlayStation 3 version is currently priced at $39.99.
Again, both the console and heldheld editions of Ragnarok Odyssey ACE will hit shelves and digital distributors on April 1, 2014!
