I was under the impression that if you were going to show something at all of the western events, that it would be released in the west.........

Though, I can't say that I'd actually play it, with Dark Souls II right around the corner and all.

I've seen some of the more negative responses to the no playable female character bit. Oddly enough it mostly came from people who in other games getting complaints of character changes/choices (DmC, Dragon Age) they were typically the type to stand steadfast to the artistic choices of the developers and tell others not to complain... and then turn around and cry sexism/misogyny here. "It's only a problem if I'm against it," I suppose.

Dev says there's a story reason for it, so you may as well wait until they describe what that reason is before you go bitching.

Uhhhh, what? This game was literally announced at a western PlayStation 4 event. In English. Before the PlayStation 4 had even been announced for Japan. WTF.

I'm a huge proponent for better female representation in video games, but the over-reaction to the lack of female playable characters in this game is startling. We don't know anything about this game yet.

Isn't Sony helping Capcom on this title?
That basically guarantees that the West will be getting it. :C

That's the first I've heard about Sony helping them. All I've heard is that it's a free to play dungeon crawler that will serve as little more than Capcom's test run of MT Framework's successor, Panta Rhei.

It seems like Sony is helping them build the game's engine.

Huh, that explains Sony showing it off.
