Capcom producer Kazunori Sugiura saw fit to clarify on Deep Down's Japanese Facebook page that the upcoming free-to-play PS4 action adventure game does not intentionally have some sexist agenda against female characters. It's just that player characters themselves happen to be limited to the male gender. Yet nestled in his explanation is another interesting tidbit concerning Deep Down:
"Although no announcement has been made regarding an overseas release of deepdown, we are happy that the title is drawing attention in regions other than Japan. We hope to release more information soon."
That's right, it turns out Capcom doesn't actually know if it plans on releasing Deep Down outside of Japan. Recall that Deep Down was one of the first PS4 titles teased in the platform's official announcement event in New York last February, heck it even has a page on the US PlayStation site so never say never just yet!
