After a wait of a year and four months, Level-5 is finally showing some initiative and gauging interest in localizing Ghost Watch via social network, Twitter. What's more is that the company expressed interest in localizing in both North American and European regions. The tweet itself has exploded in terms of retweets and favourites, meaning that the interest in getting this game overseas is definitely there.
For those unfamiliar, Ghost Watch is a quirky RPG about a boy who uses his "Ghost Watch" to discover the spooky spirits around town. He then feeds them their favorite foods and challenges them to battles. If he wins, they give him their "Ghost Medals" which allows him to summon them in battle. Sounds like a certain popular Nintendo game, right?
Ghost Watch hit Japan by storm, spinning off a successful manga and anime after the game's release. With the end of the Professor Layton trilogies nigh, I believe it is time for Level-5 to show their western fans more fantastic games, Ghost Watch one included. Having watched the trailer, but not the anime, I am still very interested in getting this game purely because I am a Level-5 fangirl.
Between the game and the anime, Yo-kai Watch is a success in Japan! Would you like to see Yo-kai Watch in the US/EU? http://t.co/sFgMsAMLXf— LEVEL5_IA (@LEVEL5_IA) February 18, 2014
