Demon Gaze, for those unaware, is a first-person dungeon-crawler a la Etrian Odyssey or perhaps Devil Summoner is more appropriate. Basically, the protagonist has this strange demon gaze power that allows him to capture certain enemies. Once sealed his enemies can used to create support characters to flesh out his party, each with their own class and characteristics. For an introduction, check out Demon Gaze's first English trailer that's just been released.
Now, it's not that I'm not a fan of half naked animu girls that look like teenagers (even though I'm not), but don't you think the designers could be a bit more fair and make the animu boys half naked too? Or is "Demon Gaze" just a metaphor for the player's (which is highly likely a boy) male gaze? Hmm, that's a much more mature approach than I expected from Experience Inc.
Anyway, Demon Gaze will be launching exclusively on PS Vita on April 22. If you're a fan of these first-person dungeon crawlers then I've got to be honest, Demon Gaze looks super polished. Maybe not Atlus polished , but a quality experience nevertheless. Watch the trailer, check out some of the past screenshots, and look forward to more information (and hopefully some gameplay) in the weeks ahead.
