Get out of here, Europe, Australia and Japan! You've had Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy for some time now, but not it's our turn so get out of here! That's right, the end of the second Professor Layton trilogy is finally coming to a close in North America, releasing exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS starting February 28. Not only is it the end of another trilogy, but as Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said in yesterday's Nintendo Direct, it's also the end of badass character Emmy's story in the series.
I won't lie, I've only completed the first trilogy of Professor Layton, though I've sword to play through the second as soon as Azran is released and I get a good week free to play through it all. It's both touching and sad to know that I'll be meeting Emmy, a new assistant to Professor Layton, and then saying goodbye in a mere three games. Nintendo's new Azran Legacy trailer does a great job of showing who Emmy is and how she complements the duo of Layton and Luke.
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy launches on February 28. For the first time in a while North America will have the latest Professor Layton game, before the next one has yet to be announced. Um, unless Level-5 wants to announce Layton 7 before we get to the 28 of February. I'm totally okay with that.
