The upcoming Titanfall beta has been officially confirmed for February 14, as rumors initially suggested. For some lucky gamers, that'll be the ultimate Valentine's Day activity. Of course, no such announcement would be complete without a swank trailer, one that'll get everyone effectively stoked for March 11.
The trailer is simply for the beta, offering a glimpse of the gameplay both as a Titan and soldier. In the first few seconds, we see a Titan rip a pilot from an enemy mech. Later, a Titan manages to crush an enemy soldier as he attempts to overtake a friendly unit. Seriously, it's awesome to see.

Just hours ago, registration for the Titanfall PC and Xbox One beta began. For anyone hoping to participate in the PC version, an Origin account is required.
As for what the beta will entail, it covers three game modes: Attrition, Hardpoint Domination, and Last Titan Standing. The names are almost self-explanatory, but let's go through them anyway.
- Attrition - A team claims victory by wiping out everyone on the opposing side, including Titans, AI soldiers, and pilots.
- Hardpoint Domination - Win by capturing and holding three hardpoints across a map.
- Last Titan Standing - Destroy the other team's Titans. Everyone starts with one, and none will respawn or be replaced after they've been destroyed.
