Mmm, I like that. I like that he says he's going to betray what we think the game is going to be. That sounds awesome.

GOOD. I didn't fund a Mega Man game. I funded Mighty No.9. If I wanted a Mega Man game I'd go through that huge backlog of games that already exist.

Blue and Orange theme? Check.
Short cartoony character that looks like Megaman? Check.
Side scrolling action? Check.
Megaman No. 9 confirmed.

Yes he did: "I'm often called the father of Mega Man, but actually, his design was already created when I joined Capcom," he explained. "My mentor (Capcom senior member Akira Kitamura), who was the designer of the original Mega Man, had a basic concept of what Mega Man was supposed to look like. So I only did half of the job in creating him.
Half is still enough to be called a creator in my book.

But he just said that the design was already created before he joined. If he just added some finishing touches you can hardly call him the creator.

A basic concept is hardly designing. He's short h'es blue and he's a robot. Lots a ways I could take that but Inafune took it the way he did and made Megaman what he is today. And he is doing it again.
