Sony's wooed another indie developer into creating something unique for them. Carnivore Studio, based out of London, has just announced their new title Kodoku for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Kodoku is described as a "horror and exploration game" based off a mixture of inspirations like: Lovecraft, Japanese folklore, modern art and more. What really is Kodoku? Maybe mystery is its greatest strength right now
Romain, a Carnivore Studio Founder, offered the following short description of what Kodoku is all about:
"The game is a horror and exploration game, set on a Japanese island. Instead of shooting guns at zombies, you will have to use strategy and stealth to survive all the Lovecraftian creatures – inspired by Japanese folklore – that live on the island. You will also be able to use magic talismans you will learn to craft on the island, in order to find your best way to face enemies."
Whelp. That confirms it. I'm almost certain I want nothing to do with Kodoku. Pigs with people faces eating other pigs is where I draw the line.
Expect more information on Kodoku, coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, further down the line.
