Rambo may be a real American hero, or anti-hero if you will, but Europe gets first dibs on Rambo: The Video Game. Yes, Teyon's on-rails shooter, via European publisher Reef Entertainment, will arrive on European shores starting February 21 with a North American release to follow later on in Q1 2014. It's almost enough to make a bald eagle cry, but really what's more American than sharing our mindless violent action heroes with the world?
Yes, Rambo: The Video Game is an on-rails shooter where Rambo's little automated cart will constantly place him in front of dozens of racially stereotypical bad guys for the player to mow down with a machine gun. It's a genre of game that's rare to see these days, so why not make one featuring a character no one expected to ever see in a game again? It's a blast from the past, kind of like Sly Stallone's other big project these days, The Expendables.
Get hyped then, Europe. Apparently Rambo: The Video Game's publisher thinks you're bigger Rambo fans then Rambo's homeland. This is something you've earned, so own it. Even if it does end up being a terrible game, North America applauds you for taking one for the team. Europe can pick up Rambo: The Video Game on February 21 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
