Do plug and play gamepads work with the usb port in the back? I have a great gamepad Ive used for a number of years which I would like to see work on the ouya.
Screw this storage shenannigans, im just happy they are updating the firmware to something more... useable. They still have a long way to go with all the money weve thrown at em.
Storage isnt an issue, its just the format. Put an sd micro slot in the back and people will be happy.
Space isnt an issue, why dont they make the console something bigger than a fancy desert dish, that way it wont get trampled by people who dont give two shits about how something looks as much as how it plays...
Seriously though, make the ouya a slim, sturdy box. What I have in mind closely resembles a 1" binder. Hell, even something like a Harry Potter book would fit the bill. If it was larger, it could have space for cable and accessory storage. Wrap up your HDMI and stuff it in the back!

There has been a lot of criticism. I believe this update is trying to assure the masses that the ouya is alive and well. However, I believe the approach that this project has taken was too far out of the devs reach. I believe too much has been squandered on making the ouya a 'big boy' console, with a wireless controller and a cool looking form factor. Honestly, people would be happy with something as big as a nes, with wired controllers. As long as it stayed practical and resourceful. THAT, is the advantage that the ouya has over AAA consoles. THAT is what they should have been playing at since day one.

Sad to say, ouya is still dead to a lot of disapointed gamers.

Forgot about this thing, remember reading about it last year but didn't see it in any shops or anything.

Kind of forgot what it's supposed to be anyway?

I'm assuming it won't be the same kinda games as Xbox/PS4 ?

I'm assuming it plays games you'd find on your phone but on your TV?

My current OUYA is currently collecting dust, which saddens me.

I just haven't had a reason to play it really. Remember kids, impulse buying can screw you over.

I've never been intrigued by the controller, and the Android sucks anyway. Not my cup of tea.
