Other innovative Nintendo titles this year include:

New Super Mario Bros. 12
Luigi's New Mansion
The New Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of New
Kirby's New Dreamland
New Super Smash Bros.

And many more!

Yeah, you didn't include "Mario Kart New".

This game looks boring, I won't be getting it.

Yoshi's island games are actually more fun then they show, though I doubt there'll anything ground breaking "new" about it, that just means you won't be disappointed since you get what you expect, a fun casual game.

Since it'll be on the 3DS I'll most likely buy it.

Cmon guys, if nintendo did not make the normal games they always make, the fanbase the craves those games, and the same fanbase that nintendo pretty much survives on, would not be very happy about it.

I like Yoshi games more than all of the other Mario world games. Luigi's mansion was okay too.

Admittedly, I probably won't get this, but still! With Bravely Default coming soon and Kirby coming out (eventually...?), I don't know if I'll have room for another 3DS game!

I don't think Nintendo really needs to change anything about Yoshi's Island games. The same basic formula that worked on the SNES also worked on the DS and looks like it'll continue to work on the 3DS. I've always been a fan of the simple, yet occasionally challenging (World 5-4 on the SNES comes to mind... I still have trouble with that boss every so often) gameplay Yoshi's Island provides. Nothing too serious or difficult, but addicting enough you don't want to put it down.

I hope this game is the sequel and not a remake.

Way to be optimistic.

It's not all that different from the Mario series. Or Zelda, or Donkey Kong, or Kirby... Starting to see a pattern?

I played through the first 4 levels of this game, and it's the same platformer from the SNES age. Do not buy this game, it's a waste of time, and embarrassing to play in public.

Deleting it as we speak.

But it's not even out yet...

And just because it's a light-hearted game makes it embarassing to play in public?
