This week's Famitsu magazine is out, and it looks like Capcom snuck a little announcement in there: Phoenix Wright and company are bringing the original Ace Attorney games to the 3DS!
Ace Attorney 123 Wright Selection is the title of the compilation and will have the original Ace Attorney games with some updated 3D effects like in Dual Destinies, but the games aren't being fully updated to 3D from the ground up. The Japanese version will also include English voices for those of you who can't wait to play the originals all over again and have to import it from Japan. It's set to release on April 17 in Japan for 3990 yen, or about $38 USD.
For those who aren't familiar with the Ace Attorney series, you take on the role of an attorney by the name of Phoenix Wright and gather evidence through investigating crime scenes and pressing witnesses for questions in order to unravel what otherwise seems like an open-and-shut case to prove your client's innocence. Hidden within the text-based adventures are pop culture references along with the occasional corny joke and name puns (Wendy Oldbag, anyone?).
While an Ace Attorney compilation is great Capcom, I'm still waiting on you to localize Ace Attorney Investigations 2...
