quote Microsoft reveals that it secured "50 percent of the combined software, hardware, and accessories spend in the U.S." with the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms last month, unquote.

Do I have to believe that? How so? Lol.

As expected, Microsoft would easily take December in the US due to Sony's major supply constraints. Anyway, PS4 still pulled in excellent numbers and 3DS remains on top overall. Great job for all 3 companies, especially Microsoft. The Xbox 360 selling over 600,000 in December is what impresses me the most.

As for Wii U, since it's mentioned that December was it's best month yet, it has sold at LEAST 460,000, as the previous 'best' month was December of 2012 with the number I just mentioned. Not a good amount, but an improvement I guess. Sadly, it'll come crashing back down next month.

PS Vita is below 100,000 for December, which is abysmal.

That's strange, Call of Duty is listed as #1 and #2.

Well if there were more games for it and better third party support, It wouldn't have this problem.

It's not like nobody buys the game anyways. Just look at tear away.

You can't really use Tearaway as an example though since it was released the same day as Mario,Zelda, and Xbone so it's not surprising it had terrible sales. Iirc though the Vita does have higher software sales than the WiiU.

We sold every PS4 available at retail in the US and were out of stock in December due to overwhelming consumer demand.

Not really surprising if the PR is telling the truth. The 360 has a higher install base than the PS3 and PS4 was sold out.

I am very happy with mine and am very much enjoying the features so you can count me out of that "disgusting" group.

I work in retail and PS4 was definitely hard to come by whereas there was a decent supply of XB1 available. PS4's really only started flowing back in around the beginning of January. Either way I don't really see either the PS4 or XB1 completely outselling eachother within the near future, they'll be neck-to-neck for a while.
