Microsoft loves to celebrate their big launches and Titanfall may be the first really big launch on Xbox One. What does that mean? Why, that we'll be receiving the first limited edition wireless controller for the console featuring Titanfall's orange, white and black color scheme. Designed by Respawn Entertainment's in-house team, the controller will launch consequently with the game -- which is March 11, which you should know by now.
Respawn Lead Artist Joel Emslie seems very proud of his work on the controller:
"In a collaborative effort with the Xbox design team and the Respawn art department, our goal was to create a controller that feels as if it is a piece of military spec hardware transported from the universe of Titanfall and into players hands."
I'm not so sure if I'd callthe think a heavy piece of military hardware, but it does look like a cool design on an Xbox One controller, right?
The Titanfall limited edition Xbox One controller will launch in March alongside the game itself. Titanfall will be launching on March 11 in North America and March 13 in Europe. Price was discussed, but the current Xbox One wireless controller costs around $60 without a charging kit, or $75 with.
Update: Price for the controller is showing up on the Microsoft store as $65, or $5 more than a standard controller. Unfortunately, the controller appears to be sold out there, if it was ever in stock in the first place. Best watch out for preorder opportunities, everyone! Thanks LOD-squa for the tip!
