I know that Dark Souls didn't invent the JRPG tropes it pulls of so successfully but GOD DAMN this looks like a shameless carbon copy of Dark Souls without the amazing Dragons Dogma action or the fantastical graphics of the reveal trailer.

Whatever, so long as this helps fund Dragons Dogma 2 and doesn't prevent it I'll buy into this F2P game.

The money invested in this should have gone into making Dragon's Dogma 2. They just ripped off DS and they aren't even delivering on the graphics they introduced at the reveal event. How can Capcom not see the failure in this?

This game looks fun to me, a mixture of Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma.

Explain to me how this is anything like Dark Souls.
Capcom is known for its fast, flashy gameplay outside of the MH series and to suddenly see a game with such slow and methodical gameplay that is extremely punishing (if you've seen the gameplay) to an artstyle that has almost no identity (if you snuck some of these scenes in a Dark Souls trailer NO ONE would notice, hell I thought Ostrava was in this trailer) it's easy to see how people draw the connection.

When your drawing from the same source material (medieval times with D&D monsters) your bound to run into some similarities. If you can look at a single trailer and just cut out the end with DARK SOULS III and no one would be able to tell the difference then it just feels like a clear ripoff.

Looks interesting enough, though it had my attention more when I first heard of it. The more I hear, the less I want to play it, though it still holds my interest, in a weird way.

The first trailer had me skeptical enough when the design work just seemed so...bland. Sure the visuals were awfully realistic, but realism isn't always pretty to look at, if the character's faces were anything to go by.

Is it odd that I became less interested when they essentially pulled an Assassin's Creed and went all: Nope, you're actually in the present/future, this isn't actually a medieval RPG, but it is, but it isn't, but it's not, but it is.

I'm just... baffled by what Capcom are trying to achieve with this. The concept would've been fresher a few years ago, and after the excellent combat of Dragon's Dogma, the apparent clunkiness of Deep Down's is a real shame. Their business ethics surrounding Dogma might have been more than a bit shifty, and their support for it subpar, but goddamn did it give me a combat system for an RPG that I've been waiting for for years.

Feels like a waste really, this could've been a sequel to Dragon's Dogma with the multiplayer the game should've had, in a brand new setting. They could've fixed pretty much all of Dogma's flaws, thrown it onto next-gen, and made a lot of gamers happy and a lot money.

This just looks like an attempt to cash in on the success of Dark Souls, but badly. If I want Dark Souls, I'll play Dark Souls, give me more Dragon's Dogma Capcom, it's the first thing you've done right for gamers in years.

What? How... How is this even comparable to Ryse? This is more like Demon's Souls/Dragon's Dogma than anything. Further, and IMO, Ryse was nothing too great; I'm keeping my copy because it's fun enough for a visit here and there, but it's no killer app.
