Update: Whelp, in the 2 hours since I published this news post the Reset Indiegogo campaign raised the 4000 euro they needed. Considering they raised 1000 in the previous 25 hours that's a rather impressive bump in funding. Good for Theory Interactive to finally get the visibility they needed!
Ever since Reset's gorgeous debut trailer I've been following the game's progress closely. Unfortunately it seems as if just as Reset is finding its legs it may get tripped up, as the game's crowdfunding campaign is precariously close to failing in its final hours. With less than 15 hours to go, the team needs almost €4,000 more. Can the team at Theory Interactive make it? I certainly hope so.
To help make their argument for them, the team's released a special message to prospective backers. Keeping in theme with their time traveling theme, one of the game's developers "travels back in time" to share the news that the campaign was unsuccessful, but due to his intervention the future can be changes -- with our help, of course. They then share some of the exciting gameplay and features to look forward to in the game.
As exciting an an open-world, single-player and cooperative puzzle experience with robots who shred time is, what still most attractive about Reset to me is the atmosphere. The game's simply beautiful, what with the way the team's played with lighting and shadow to create very moody settings. Ah, I'll be heartbroken if the game misses its goal.
Check out Reset's Indiegogo page for more information, uncluding gameplay demos and a ton of details on the team's plans for the game. As far as indie games go, this one would be hard to see die so early.
