We all know the truth. What really is the best Nintendo game ever made? It's Dr. Mario. That's why every gamer ever should be absolutely in awe of today's biggest announcement, Dr. Luigi. Dr. Luigi's a downloadable title for the Wii U coming out on December 31 and it's seemingly exactly like the original game. Well, except there's an easy mode for noobs. That's not what Dr. Mario/Luigi is about. Dr. Mario/Luigi is about taking your medicine and liking it.
For those unfamiliar, Dr. Luigi and its predecessor are sort of like Tetris in that they're puzzle-like games where blocks scroll down from the top of the screen. Match three of the same color in a row on top of a virus of the same color and poof, they all disappear. The trick is in how pills are connected and often multiple colors, plus how they fall after a combo has been landed. It's trickier than it may seem, but oh so addicting and rewarding. Also, there's multiplayer! Ha, as if anyone played multiplayer on a Nintendo console.
I... I can't find the Dr. Luigi trailer anywhere, so instead everyone gets to listen to "Fever" from the original Dr. Mario. Don'y be afraid to listen to it for 8-hours straight, since that's what we all did when we were kids playing Dr. Mario going level 1 to 100. It's only natural. Who am I kidding, I could easily just post the UK trailer for Dr. Luigi, but I'd rather post "Fever" instead.
Dr. Luigi is a downloadable title for the Wii U that will launch on December 31 for only $14.99.
