In a rather trolly reveal, the latest trailer for Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS trailer unveiled new fighter Rosalina and her side-kick Luma. The fighting pair work together it seems, with Luma taking a lot of the brunt of the damage, while Luma keeps her dress from getting dirty. I say trolly because the trailer begins with Kirby floating around on a Mario Kart track as several racers drove around below. I wonder if that's supposed to imply something?
Rosalina's move-set seems to heavily involve throwing Luma around to protect her, though she uses that wand to strike some magical fear into the hearts of her enemies as well. It will be interesting to see just how Rosalina is able to control Luma, as it appears Luma is able to create distance between itself and Rosalina without taking any damage. Ah heck, it's just great to have more ladies on the roster in general.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS wasn't featured very prominently in today's Nintendo Direct, unfortunately. All we were able to get was the new trailer, which was righteous in its own way. However, that means no updates on the game's release date. That's actually quite the understatement. They went out of their way to completely avoid even mentioning the game's release window by jumping straight to Mario Kart 8. Don't be surprised if this game's delayed until late 2014.
