Who cares about Pokemon anyway? Real badasses are all about them Digimon. Good news for those badasses, because Namco Bandai has just announced Digimon Story, an RPG for the PS Vita that's planned for release in 2015. Okay, so many those Digimon badasses are going to have to wait another year before they get their hands on the next great Digimon game.
Not much is known about the new Digimon title, beyond the fact that it'll be a training RPG set in the near future. The announcement, which was made in Japan's Jump magazine, featured a human character in the real world standing beside a unknown Digimon. Luckily we won't have to wait long for more information, as Namco Bandai has confirmed that a trailer for Digimon Story will be shown this weekend during Jump Festa.
The last Digimon release was Digimon World: Re:Digitize for the PSP in 2012 and the 3DS in 2013. Unfortunately niether of those games have been localized for Europe or North America and odds are we shouldn't get too excited about a port for Digimon Story either. Sigh, that won't stop us from talking about it, however! Neo Digimon nerds, represent.
