It's that time again, Nintendo fans! We have another Nintendo Direct to look forward to and in typical Nintendo fashion they've announced it less than 24 hours in advance. Tomorrow's show will start at 6:00 AM PST (ugh), 9:00 AM EST, 1:00 PM GMT and will focus on spring Nintendo releases on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. No big teasers this time around, so unfortunately we can't promise and big surprises.
As for what will be shown during the event? Well, here are Nintendo's confirmed spring releases, some of which are more specific than others:
- Bravely Default - 3DS - February 7, 2014
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Wii U - February 21, 2014
- Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy - 3DS - February 28, 2014
- Mario Kart 8 - Wii U - Spring, 2014
- Watch Dogs - Wii U - Spring, 2014
Yup, those are the only big confirmed games for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Plus, knowing Nintendo, there's also the likelihood that some of their big first-party titles could be delayed. Some might recall their big releases of spring 2013 all being delayed into late summer and fall.
Is that enough to make for an entertaining Nintendo Direct? Absolutely. Nintendo could show a clip of a new Super Smash Bros. Wii U stage and it would make for a great Nintendo Direct. Well, maybe not worth waking up at 6:00 AM for, but still pretty good.
Wake up early with me and we'll try and have a liveblog/livechat throwdown! Nintendo Directs, everybody! Hooray!
