Xbox One exclusives have seen a price increase of £5 on the Xbox Games Store, with no real explanation. This change to the UK region was spotted recently for Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Forza Motorsport 5.
At launch on November 22, the three exclusives were priced at £44.99 on the Xbox digital storefront. That figure has since gone up to £49.99. Sneaky.
A Microsoft spokesperson did confirm the change, and notes that "digital content pricing" may change occasionally due to promotions per region.
"Yes, pricing for select digital content in some markets has changed since launch.
"Digital content pricing is subject to change and we may occasionally offer various deals or promotions. Ultimately pricing and promotions will vary by region."
Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 exclusives found on the PlayStation Store are still marked higher at £52.99, for Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall. In both the case of Xbox One and PS4, physical copies of their exclusive games are priced lower than digital, though both companies claim these prices are subject to change.
