Hospitals and sewers aren't great places to find in a horror game. Well, fortunately for horror fans, Daylight is going to have plenty of both, seeing as how every hospital must have an unreasonably complex sewer system. New screenshots for Zombie and ATLUS' upcoming survival horror highlight such awful places.
The new images show us a few areas from the Mid Island Bay Hospital, where our protagonist wakes up, a doctor's office, and the facility's sprawling sewers. You do get to explore all these areas, of course, armed with just your mobile device. Dear God, someone get this woman a gun.
The hospital itself has had a sordid past, before being abandoned decades ago. In 1939, a tourist steamboat went under off the coast of New Kipling, and Mid Island Bay collected all the victims, both living and dead. Apparently, the hospital never "recovered from the specter of a tragedy of that magnitude," and closed in 1948. Cue a company coming in with interests in reviving the facility, right up until its staff started disappearing. Great.
An announcement teaser was released back in June, and has been confirmed for PC and PS4. The thriller is written by none other than IGN personality Jessica Chobot.
