Wat. Okay, Telltale Games. The Walking Dead, Fables, even Game of Thrones I can understand, but now you're working on Tales from the Borderlands based off of the Borderlands franchise from Gearbox? Wat. We're talking about an adventure game that focuses on character interaction, emotional storylines and player choice based on a first-person shooter that focuses on crude humor, billions of guns and RPG-like character progression. Wat.
Nevertheless, here we are, with Tales from the Borderlands being announced by Telltale Games during the VGX awards. The announcement trailer features two non-"Vault Hunters" looking to start their adventure in the Borderlands. They seem to be out of their league, but none other than a digitzed version of Handsome Jack seems to have other plans.
Tales from the Borderlands will be, much like Telltale's other series The Walking Dead, Fables and now Game of Thrones, be episodic in nature. Expect at least the first chapter to be released in 2014 for a variety of platforms.
