Ultra Street Fighter IV finally has a release date! Unfortunately it's a bit later than any expected, however. A lot later, actually. The digital upgrade version of the title will be coming first, naturally. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players will be able to download the upgrade in June, 2014 for the cost of $14.99. The standalone version for each console will then be release in August for $39.99. That means Capcom will have the game done in time for the EVO fighting game tournament.
Some may have noticed that the PC versions of the game were not included above. Well, in order for Capcom to ensure the console versions of the game were ready for EVO, they to delay the PC versions a bit. Don't worry, it's not too serious. The digital upgrade will arrive in August alongside the console versions of the full game. The standalone is also planned for August, though perhaps a bit later, but since Capcom a bit apologetic about the delay they'll only charge $29.99 instead of the full $40.
Having Ultra Street Fighter IV in early 2014 would have been preferable, naturally, but it's good to hear Capcom's set their goal for a pre-EVO release. Unfortunately that means that EVO may be quite the mess as players are still figuring out the new meta. Eh, better than nothing... probably.
