Video games just want to be free, it's no lie. That's why PlayStation Plus is potentially one of the best subscription services available -- especially if you want to play multiplayer on the PlayStation 4! Sony just revealed December's line-up of new additions to the service and as usual they're rather impressive. Well, beyond one omissions -- there aren't any new PlayStation 4 titles on the list!
Yus, it appears that since PlayStation 4 has only just released in North America and the fact that Resogun and Contrast are launch titles Sony has justified no new additions on PS4 for December. I mean, I'd guess they'd have to find an indie game or something to add, since there aren't a lot of PlayStation 4 games out yet, but it's still kind of disappointing. One game every 15 days seems right to me an it's a bit disheartening to see them miss that goal.
Enough of that, because the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita lineups are looking pretty sexy! Here's what Sony will be unlocking over the course of the month:
- Borderlands 2
- Grid 2
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed
- Urban Trial Freestyle
Aw yis, that's both Borderlands 2 and Grid 2, on top of the indie cult hit Dyad for PlayStation 3! The PS Vita's two games aren't necessarily anything to be excited for, with Sonic Racing being directed at a younger audience and Urban Trial being another generic 2D motorcycle racing game. Still, free. They're all free. Hard to argue with free.
Keep in mind that this Friday PlayStation Plus will be on sale 40%, dropping it down to $29.99 for a full year. It's only at select, so make sure you buy it when you see it. Doubtful it'll ever drop this far again, unless it's part of next year's Black Friday sale again.
