Currently Xbox 360 subscribers to Xbox Live Gold are enjoying Iron Brigade from Double fine, but with November quickly coming to a close it's best we start looking towards the future. Starting in December two new free games will be made available, one each every 15 days. The first will be Gears of War, one of the Xbox 360s most popular titles, followed by another indie game in Shoot Many Robots. Happy Holidays!
I think I've gotten over my initial disappointment with Games With Gold, since they're still free even if they're games most people have little interest in playing in 2013. Instead, that disappointment is refocused into awe for what Sony's done with PlayStation Plus. If even Microsoft can't secure some modern, high-profile and relevent releases for their Games With Gold program, how is Sony able to do it with PlayStation Plus?
Well, at least we can look forward to the Games With Gold on Xbox One starting in 2014. It'll be impossible for Microsoft to release anything but new and exciting games on that platform, right? It's not like there's a backlog of titles they can pull from. For now, however, we'll just have to enjoying playing Gears of War... again.
