Tonight marks the launch of the Xbox One and Microsoft is throwing a huge party to countdown to the console's first sale. Yes, tonight Microsoft is pulling out all the stops with two huge events and a livstream. New York City will see performances from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Los Angeles will have deadmau5 and 7wallace. What will the livestream have? Well, hopefully a little of everything and some surprises as well.
Join me as I liveblog the event from home, while Lydia sits in a mall waiting for her midnight release. Hopefully the event will have a few sneaky announcements or reveals, or... ah heck, as long as it's fun then who cares. Tonight is a celebration of over a year of speculation, rumor and general insanity. Tomorrow marks the first day that all next-gen consoles will be officially launched and available to the public. It's a good day.
If you'd like to watch the livestream yourself, you can head over to Xbox.com or watch the event on Xbox Live and Spike TV. I'll keep an eye out for an embed to put here in the post, but no promises! And of course, make sure to click that little blue button below that says join the discussion in the forums, because we'll have a livechat for community members to talk about their Xbox One plans. Cheers! It's launch day!
