As of yet we haven't seen much of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, but a new trailer an a relase date announcement should fix that right quick. We now know that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, the unique third-person action title from PopCap Games, will be available starting February 28, 2014 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. We also know that football playing zombies with machine guns are unstopppable.
Garden Warfare Producer Brian Lindley offered the following loosely related pitch for his game:
"Gamers across the world have fallen in love with the Plants vs. Zombies characters and now they’ll get to see them in an entirely new light. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare give the series’ fans and shooter players a fun, new experience that they’ll both enjoy as they blast, chomp and laugh their way through co-op and head-to-head online action."
Personally the whole thing comes across a bit too much like Team Fortress 2 to me. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since class-based shooters are fun no matter what, but that's a lot to live up to for a developer known for their casual party games. Still, everything looks fine now and that's enough to persuade me the gameis worth playing before dismissing.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 starting February 28, 2014 and then will come to PC at a later day.
