Ryse: Son of Rome has been given a ton of attention as a Microsoft exclusive. Today, a launch trailer was released, hyping up Xbox fans with some awesome cinematics and... surprisingly violent gameplay. Granted, the game is supposed to be pretty gruesome, but I didn't expect the limb-chopping in a trailer.
As the story goes, Rome is under siege by the barbarian armies and their allies. The enemies of Rome are at the doorstep of this great empire, which seems like pretty good cause for worry. Players step into the shoes of Marius Titus, a Roman general.
Ryse will be out on November 22, alongside the Xbox One. The game follows an alternate timeline, of sorts, moving away from actual history for the sake of entertainment. So keep that in mind when you start the game.
