Despite all the glitches I encountered (cutscenes freezing, dialogue cutting out, etc.), and the fact that ND refused to patch some of them, this is still one of my all time favorite games and such a beautiful experience.

My brother had an idea that they could do some story about a boy and a dog, and I thought that a woman and a young boy would be a cool alternative to Joel and Ellie's dynamic. I'm sort of hoping they do one of those.

Naughty Dog is notorious not only for glitches but also makes their new games (including Uncharted 2, 3) completely incompatible with older models of PS3, thereby promoting the asses of the SCEI to sell newer models of PS3.

If Naughty Dog continues their naughty trend like this on PlayStation 4, I'm pretty sure ND is dead long before Uncharted 4.

It's a shame, really. This game was soooo good other than the glitches I ran into.

I mean, just look at this thread on their tech issues forum. Over 60 pages of complaints regarding bugs/glitches/etc, and they've released 3 or 4 patches. I believe only one actually attempts to fix two glitches in the single-player portion of the game.

Thankfully, I only encountered a fraction of what's complained about in that thread, but it seems many people can't even complete the game. I personally had to go to YouTube to fill in some blanks left by missing dialogue and one or two freezing cutscenes. It really wasn't a huge deal, but it's such a glaring blemish on an otherwise perfect title. The fact that ND couldn't be bothered to fix it makes it even worse.

Crap I'll have to finish the game and return it to the kid I'm borrowing it from.

Is it purely a compatibility issue with older ps3s? Ive gone through half a dozen times and never run into even the smallest glitches... I do have a never ps3 though.

Interesting...I mean, I can't play Uncharted 3 on my PS3 60GB, and played 2 with some glitches and annoying factors like freezing often. It only happens when I play Naughty Dog's games. So, you've a 60GB (launch model) or slimmer 120GB? I've heard that 250GB model or above are just fine to play Naughty Dog's notorious games.

THM I originally had a 80 Gb Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle phat. But after my deployment it took a cap and died and I have since moved to a 320 Gb slim (normal slim and not the super slim). My older one would have the occasional artifacts And whatnot but nothing remotely game breaking on uncharted 1 + 2. And my slim played Uncharted 3 and The last of us without a hitch that I am aware of anyway.

I have the 250gb one I bought about 2 years ago and I never had any problems. It is really bad though how Naughty Dog just don't seem to care about pretty much half their gaming audience by making games they know will encounter problems and then not doing anything to solve it.

Exactly, they know that some of their (Naughty Dog's) games will have (some) issues with older models (Fat PS3s) and they don't simply address it!

I haven't tried The Last of Us on my 60GB console. I'm pretty sure it will face some issues just like Uncharted 2 and 3.

P.S. I keep PS3 60GB for PS2 games, and seem like I have to buy a new slim soon to play Naughty Dog's games.

If you want to play the current games then yeah, you might have to get another one. Or you can get a ps4. And worry about the next ND game not working on release consoles... If you haven't played the last of us yet I suggest you borrow or try your ps3 cause its a great game, storywise, emotionally and (mostly) gameplaywise.

Haha...that's exactly what I had worried, what are you? Fortune teller? I've already pre-ordered PlayStation 4 for Killzone 4. (also upcoming Uncharted 4 and I'm worried that Uncharted 5 and 6 won't be compatible with PS4 launch model! Just like Uncharted 2, 3 = doesn't work with Launch PS3 model!

Anyway, my trusty PS3 has issues solely with Uncharted series and fine with other games; it is nearly 7 years old; I'm gonna keep it for my classic PS2-PS3 collection. Thinking about a 500GB slim PS3 in March 2014, but PS4 must come first!!! Too many strategic gaming plans.

This is the first i've heard of ND games not working on earlier PS3 models. I used to have a 40gb model and that played Uncharted 2 just fine.

Glad to know that the DLC will be announced tomorrow though Definitely waking up early to watch then. Will be at like 4am my time haha.
