Well, Call of Duty: Ghosts seems to be doing well for itself. Again. Call of Duty: Ghosts came out just yesterday, and the game has already brought in more than $1 billion through retail worldwide. How much consumers have brought in has yet to be revealed, though Ghosts was previously mentioned to have fewer recorded pre-orders than Black Ops II.
As for the rest of year, prior to Ghosts' much-anticipated release, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and its downloadable content generated "more revenues than any other console game ever has in a single year." Not surprisingly, Ghosts is now the top played game on Xbox LIVE, and average player sessions have already beaten that of Black Ops II and Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Ghosts also holds its place as GameStop's top next-gen pre-order. No word yet on the exact figures, however.
