Hey, everyone. This should be a post about Telltale Games releasing a teaser trailer for the upcoming release of The Walking Dead: Season 2, but I just don't think I'm ready to revisit all of these emotions just quite yet. This should be a post about how the first episode of Season 2 will be released later this year, with the season concluding sometime in 2014, but it's not. Instead it's about rainbows and Pokemon.
Dan Connors, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games, provided the following statement:
"The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman's world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series. Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we'll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted."
If this was a post about The Walking Dead: Season 2, this is where we'd talk about how Clementine is featured prominently in the teaser trailer. We are, after all, going to be playing as Clementine in Season 2 since at the end of Season 1... oh no. I can't do this. I want to talk about how Clementine is going to have to be brave and face unspeakable horrors alone, but I can't. I can't! I want to talk about Chespin and Froakie!
The Walking Dead: Season 2 will be five episodes long and debut later this year on PC, Mac, home consoles and iOS. Additional platforms will be announced soon. Fans can preorder the full season right now for $22.49 via the Telltale Games store or on Steam, or wait and pick up each episode individually for $5.00. Oh Clementine, how is Telltale going to torture you (and us) this season?
THE TEARS, THEY WON'T STOP. IT'S RAINING. I SWEAR IT'S JUST RAINING IN HERE.
