It was more than a year ago when Theory Interactive's two-man development team released their debut trailer for Reset. Not only was it one the more beautiful trailers of the time, but it was rendered entirely in-engine. Needless to say, it was easy to be excited even after seeing so little. Then, after hearing the game was also a first-person co-op title? Take my money, guys.
That was April, 2012, and now here we are nearing Halloween in 2013, but while the name Reset may not be in-mind for anyone a new trailer should help them remember. Yes, here's the first gameplay trailer for Reset. Thee gameplay itself looks solid enough. Nothing particularly complicated is shown yet, but it's just a teaser after all. However, that atmosphere and mood from the original trailer is back and as poignant as ever.
What is Reset? Theory Interactive describes it as, "A sci-fi noir, a mystery, a first person puzzle game. Reset is infused with mind boggling puzzles, a grippingly haunting but beautiful story and an unparalleled immersive atmosphere." What Reset is to me, even just two short trailers in, is an experience rarely found in our industry. Seriously though, take my money already, guys.
Oh, speaking of money, it looks like the team will be launching an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds very soon. The campaign for Reset should be up right now, but maybe Theory Interactive hasn't pressed the "GO" button yet. We'll be sure to update the post as soon as we have that link for everyone.
