Nintendo's greatest strengths when it comes to Mario games is diversity of gameplay and level design, so it should come as no surprise that their latest Super Mario 3D World trailer focuses in on those aspects of the game. Remember the dozens of power-ups previously teased? Now they're all featured in motion, which is why this trailer is over six minutes long. Basically, if this trailer doesn't persuade you to pick up Super Mario 3D World, you won't be persuaded at all.
Personally, I prefer a bit more meaningful experience than the Mario franchise typically provides. There's really no argument, however, that Mario's games tend to be the definition of fun. It's great to see Super Mario 3D World fully embrace that attitude and go all out in providing just the most random, crazy gameplay ideas and making them look great. I can't wait to be a boomerang bro, a cat, or whatever else Super Mario 3D World has up its sleeve.
Super Mario 3D World is planned for release on November 22 exclusively on the Wii U, naturally. With the PlayStation 4's launch just days before and the Xbox One coming literally the same day, well, we'll get to see how Mario really stands up against the competition. At least he'll be bringing his largest collection of power-ups ever to the battle!
