Pokemon X and Pokemon Y have been released to much fanfare, but there has been one negative point -- a game breaking bug that's ruined a few players' games. Should players save in specific areas within the main city of Lumiose the game will freeze up and player's will have to start their game all over from scratch. The good news is that Nintendo's working on it, but in this official response they say they don't have a fix just yet.
Here's Nintendo's official response, loosely translated, on when a fix will be available:
"We are working hard to deliver a fix for the issue through the Nintendo eShop in the next few days. We'll will inform you again as soon as it's ready, but I ask to have you wait for now."
In the meantime Nintendo has provided the map of Lumiose City below, which somewhat clearly marks certain areas that players should make certain not to save in. It's pretty clear that some areas of Lumiose are safe, which could be contributing to widespread, "Well, it works for me so I don't think there's a problem," issues. Listen up! There's a save issue that can ruin your game! It's real, so be careful!
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y were released October 12 and despite the issue it seems like very few players have run into the problem, thankfully. We'll make sure everyone hears the news as soon as possible, just after Nintendo releases an official fix. Stay strong, Pokemon players! Don't lose your Pokedex to risky saves!
Thanks SomeGuyNamedDavid for the English translated map!
