Huge news for Diablo III fans who picked the ARPG up on console. Blizzard confirmed today that Diablo III's expansion, Reaper of Souls, was indeed planned for PlayStation 4. Not only that, but a playable version of the game would be available to try out at BlizzCon Nov. 8-9, complete with DualShock 4 touchpad features and all. The next big question is whether this announcement implies a non-delayed multi-platform launch date for the expansion!
Initially Blizzard announced Reaper of Souls as an PC expansion, without any mention of a console version at all. Now, however, with Reaper of Souls having not been shown to the public at all, we hear that its first appearance will be guaranteed to be available on PlayStation 4. That's a very good sign that Blizzard is taking development on both platforms seriously.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is planned for release in 2014 on PC and PlayStation 4, hopefully at the same time! Hopefully on all of the other platforms that Diablo III is available on as well! Pick up a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket if you're interested in seeing a livestream of all the convention's events. They're rather pricey, though.
