As befits a game that releases a ton of post-release DLC content, Injustice: Gods Among Us will be putting out an "Ultimate Edition" starting November 12. The box will include the original DC Comics-focused fighting game, along with the six currently available downloadable characters as well as 40 extra skins and 60 S.T.A.R Labs Missions. Expect it to come to PlayStation 4, PS Vita, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Oddly missing from the listed platforms is the Xbox One, but I'm betting that has more to do with the console's late-November release date as opposed to any controversy. Still, there is a possibility that the game might be missing or delayed on the Xbox One. Ain't that a thing.
Finally Lobo, Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and Scorpion we be as they should have been and come packaged in the game. It's only taken, what, a year of extra development for it to happen. Still, it's a great way to make money. After all, the full package will cost full price on all platforms -- $59.99 on PS4, PS3 and 360, $49.99 on PC and $39.99 on PS Vita.
If you haven't tried out Injustice: Gods Among Us yet then this might be a great opportunity to join in. Or, you will probably be able to pick up the original game from a bargain bin for next to nothing when this Ultimate Edition hits, too. Heck, we don't even know whether NetherRealm will continue to release more DLC characters or not! Ack, I get all flustered with these sorts of things.
