We already know about the new Squads in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and hey, who doesn't like a strategic touch to their games? In the new Squads multiplayer mode in Ghosts, you're basically allowed to make your own little team, customize them to your liking, then send them into battle against other player-made squads. May the best tactician win.
I like to think of it as a bit of XCOM: Enemy Unknown with my Call of Duty. Within Squads, you also have multiple modes to choose from, like Squad Assault, Squad vs. Squad, Safeguard, Wargame, and so forth.
And you're not required to rely on the AI, if you'd prefer real people. In Wargame, for instance, you can actually have friends play as your squad members. Basically, there's a whole range of co-op, competitive, and AI options to go with.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be out November 5 for current-gen consoles and PC, then later for next-gen.
