Tokyo Game Show 2013 has come and gone, and organizers can proudly declare this a successful year. The show broke attendance records this past week with 270,197 attendees, a small boost over the 223,753 figure from 2012.
The two public days this year saw quite a bit of interest, with 102,399 people showing up on Saturday and 115,444 on Sunday. As for the two business days, September 19 and September 20, Thursday saw 29,171 and Friday got 23,183 attendees.
This year, 352 companies from 33 different countries were present to exhibit their products, ranging from video games to peripherals, which is a pretty decent boost the 209 companies and 19 countries from TGS 2012's records. However, the 962 products being shown is a drop from the 1,043 products showcased last year.
As for Tokyo Game Show 2014, expect that to run from September 18 through September 21. Here's hoping for more than just mobile announcements.
