Blizzard's fan-Mecca event BlizzCon is less than two months away and ticket sales have long come and gone. There's still an opportunity for fans to participate, however, via Blizzard's pay-per-view Digital Ticket. $40 for two days of events that would otherwise be unavailable for the public to view in addition to some exclusive in-game items for all of Blizzard's games. Tickets are on sale now!
Here's a list of events that will be broadcast exclusively via the Digital Ticket livestreams:
- Developer Panels: Get the latest news and firsthand developer insight into the creation of your favorite Blizzard games.
- Exclusive Interviews: Dig deeper into the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo universes in exclusive interviews with Blizzard executives and developers.
- Costume and Talent Contests: Get a great view of the creativity on display in the legendary BlizzCon Costume contest and the brand-new-for-2013 Talent Contest.
- Closing Ceremony: Be there for the closing festivities on Saturday night, celebrating two full days of Blizzard gaming and eSports action.
In addition to the above events, which will be broadcast simultaneously across multiple streams, purchasers will also acquire exclusive in-game items. While the items themselves have yet to be announced, the games they're for have been confirmed. Look forward to promo items for World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III and Hearthstone. These items will be tied to the account that purchases the ticket and will become available after the event begins at some point.
Also, take not that Blizzard's eSports tournaments will be streamed online for free. If you were considering purchasing the ticket for the Grand Finals of the StarCraft II World ChampionShip Series or the World of Warcraft Arena Global Invitation, don't! You can watch them for free!
BlizzCon will run November 8 through 9 and feature exclusive looks at all of Blizzards major games. Expect some new feature announcements for existing or upcoming games, and hopefully some new expansions of product announcements too!
