Grand Theft Auto 5 is well known for its various parodies that tend to lean more towards straight up-mockery. In that vein, check out the newly launched GTA5 social media site LifeInvader, where Rockstar Social Media Club members can "Stalk" various Los Santos citizens and storefronts. With old favorites like Herr Kutz Barber and new friends like scumbag Karl Kelly from Richman Hills.
For a solid example of just what sort of profiles to expect from LiveInvader, here's the profile description for soda company Sprunk:
It’s the Essence of Life!™
The official LifeInvader page for fans of America’s #1 soft drink, Sprunk!
Bursting with 800 calories of glucose, fructose, guarana, caffeine, pesticides, benzene and just enough chemicals for you to forget the pain – nothing beats a belly full of bubbly Sprunk.
Stalk us here on LifeInvader for the chance to get Sprunked on with a free can at participating retailers.
Trust me, it doesn't get any more kid friendly from there! That's the great thing about Grand Theft Auto 5, they don't really pull any punches. If they're going to parody something, they're going to push it to the point of being distasteful, push it past that, and then double back to make sure the point of distasteful is good and dead. If LifeInvader is a sign of things to come, oh man Grand Theft Auto 5 is going to be beyond expectations.
Grand Theft Auto 5 launches on September 17, which is in less than a week, on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Grand Theft Auto Online won't be available at launch and will instead come available in early October. You know, so we can play the single player a bit.
