Been missing those Riddick games? Well, if Vin Diesel gets his way, then we might be seeing a third one. Wouldn't be too surprising, considering a new Riddick flick just came out.
In a recent interview, during which Diesel talks about the Riddick franchise and a new Fast and Furious movie, the actor claims to have assembled the original Escape from Butcher Bay developers to make a third game.
"My die-hard gamers want Taigon to deliver the third chapter in the Riddick game and we just over the past couple of months, just this year, reassembled that team from Starbreeze that brought Escape From Butcher Bay to create the third game."
Taigon, for those who are unaware, is Diesel's own game company. Starbreeze, on the other hand, is known for the original two Riddick games, including Butcher Bay and the more recent Assault on Dark Athena. The studio also developed The Darkness, and this year released Overkill Software's Payday 2 and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
In an older interview with IGN, back during Comic-Con in July, Vin Diesel mentioned wanting "more of an MMO" for a new Riddick game. Whatever happens, consider our curiosity piqued.
