Call of Duty: Ghosts' launch is speedily approaching with just under two months until release. Still, while we've seen quite a bit of the multiplayer at this point, single player has remained somewhat of a mystery. Luckily, today Infinity Ward and Activision have released a single-player campaign trailer... and it might surprise you. Be warned, there are some spoilers for the events at the beginning of the game from here on.
"Time to earn the mask," says an unknown voice, which we assume to be one of the new ghost protagonists. Does the mask mean something similar to the in-game characters as it does to players who fondly remember Ghost? On this backdrop of war born from what must be nuclear rods falling from space, all I can seem to think about is how the franchise will tie Ghosts into Modern Warfare -- as unlikely as that may be.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U, followed by next-gen launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as each console ships -- November 15 and November 22 respectively. Finally we get to go to space, only it doesn't look like it will end well for us.
