Man, ever since Halo 4 was released everyone I know has been asking, "I wonder if they'll make another Halo?" It's a cool niche game and all, but it's not like it's hugely successful or anything, right? Well, a Microsoft Store profile leak may have surprise for us! The retail listing confirms a brand new Halo for Xbox One coming in 2014. Oh, and it brings back that Master Chief guy, who'd have thought?
Skipping straight to the good stuff, here's the text from the Microsoft store profile:
"Halo for Xbox One takes the now-legendary saga to new heights and is one of the most anticipated games for the new console. In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted. Pre-order the next chapter in the wildly popular Halo series designed exclusively for Xbox One."
That sounds about right as far as the next Halo is concerned, right? It's not really anything new to those who have played Halo 4, but it at least gives us some idea of where the franchise will be going in the sequel. ROBOTS! It's also significant, but again not surprising, that it will be Xbox One exclusive.
Odds are we'll be hearing more about Halo 5 in a more official capacity sooner than we think.
