With Nintendo's announcement that the Wii U will be dropping its price to $299.99 starting September 20 many gamers might turn their heads and give the Wii U some consideration now. And when they do, that's when Nintendo will slap them with the real deal. Starting September 20 Nintendo will be offering a special, limited edition Wii U bundle packaged with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD... for $299.99.
Oh Nintendo, no you didn't. Yes, to kick off the holiday season and celebrate their price drop, Nintendo will be offering their HD update of one of my personal favorite Zelda titles absolutely for free. For nothing. No extra cost. On the day the bundle is released, it will effectively be dropping the Wii U's price and then keeping it there long after the bundles are sold out. Bravo, Link, you are the hero we need.
Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD bundle will launch September 20 and cost $299.99, kicking off the Wii U's new, cheaper price point. Keep in mind that this bundle is a limited edition, sort of like the old gold Legend of Zelda carts. Take note that The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD won't officially release until Oct. 4, so bundle owners will get the game two weeks earlier, too. Hell, I may buy a second one.
Oh, do I even need to mention that Wind Waker HD looks absolutely amazing? It does.
