Remember that weird Dark Souls II teaser from last week? Many of you have speculated on what it could be about -- the most popular guess being a more robust character creator -- and the truth is, we still don't know. The teaser is teasing something, or maybe it's as simple as the actual game itself. Either way, this week sees the release of a new trailer, related to the teaser: a behind-the-scenes look at the armor crafting.
By "armor crafting," I'm referring to how the armor in the teaser was made. Believe it or not, that suit was actual armor being worn by a real person. See, Namco and FromSoftware commissioned an actual blacksmith to create the suit, and the craftsman only had concept images to go on. From those images, he created a replica of the armor we see the protagonist wearing, first glimpsed in here in the announcement trailer.

Namco also announced yesterday a Dark Souls II closed beta for PS3, scheduled for October 2013.
