Since the Humble Bundle fundraiser first launched in 2010, no bundle has done quite as well as the recent Humble Origin Bundle. Featuring a robust collection of EA games new and old, the Origin Bundle has raised over $8.7 million for charity since it began earlier this month. Seriously. Interested parties still have four days to contribute, too.
The offer started with six games for just $1. With that tiny sum, you could snag Dead Space, Dead Space 3, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Mirror's Edge, Crysis 2: Maximum Edition, and Medal of Honor. Donate a single cent above the average (currently a paltry $4.86) and you'll unlock additional games The Sims 3 with DLC from the Starter Pack, DICE's Battlefield 3, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising and Populous.
All donations do, of course, go to charity, though buyers can decide how much of their money should be allocated. If you'd rather see more (or all) of your payment go to the devs, that's possible too.
The millions raised by the Origin Bundle will be going to the Human Rights Campaign, American Red Cross, watsi, GamesAid, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and American Cancer Society.
