Sony went all out at gamescom in their keynote press conference. On top of a ton of new game announcements including airplane, including a launc day Minecraft, Sony revealed the PlayStation 4's launch date. Pick up the PlayStation 4 on November 15 in North America, or on November 29 in Europe. It's not quite the October release date that's been rumored, but it's not bad, not bad.
As for launch titles, well, Sony hasn't officially confirmed anything yet. However, we can probably expect Killzone: Shadow Fall, Drive Club and Knack, on top of third party games like Call of Duty, Skylanders, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, and a whole lot more. Not to mention a launch window that must include dozens of indie games. Dozens. All of them outstanding.
PlayStation 4 launches November 15 for $399. If you're looking to jump head first into next-gen, November's a pretty good place to start.
