Looks like Tom Clancy's The Division will be heading to PC after all. Congratulations to those of you who raised enough of a stink to get Ubisoft's attention! The announcement comes to us by way of Massive Entertainment, the studio behind The Division, as the devs put out a brief video letting fans know of this change.
In the video, executive producer Fredrik Rundqvist stands in front of a camera to pass along his team's sentiments. Yes, Massive Entertainment is grateful for everyone's interest in The Division, now have your PC version.
When Ubisoft announced The Division at E3 back in June, many were surprised to learn this online open-world shooter would was exclusive to next-gen consoles.
The game's design and target audience definitely made it out to be a direct competitor to Bungie's Destiny. Instead of fighting aliens, however, you'll be playing as government agents deployed in New York following a devastating epidemic hits the US. The shooter does have some of that somewhat futuristic flair to it, in typical Tom Clancy fashion. Worth a look for sure.
Now, if Activision and Bungie would come out and tell everyone that Destiny will also be on PC, that'd be peachy.
