MCVUK is reporting that tomorrow, in their gamescom keynote, Microsoft will announce that the Xbox One will launch bundled with FIFA 14 in Europe. That's at the same cost as the standard Xbox One SKU, which costs £429.99. This would mark a huge partnership between EA and Microsoft, considering FIFA is the most popular franchise in Europe and EA will want recompense for those sales in the long run.
Let's do a little math here: if the Xbox One will retail for £429.99 and FIFA 14 will cost £54.99, then that's like the console is discounted down to £375, right? Whereas the PlayStation 4 will retail for £349, which is still cheaper overall. Though the PlayStation 4 doesn't come with a fancy Kinect! Sounds like Europeans have a tough decision --- OMG FOOTBALL, GG.
Everything I've learned about Europe is from video game sales charts, which shows that this might be the best move Xbox One could make in order to get nerds to buy their console this fall. Smart guys. That is, if this isn't just a huge ridiculous rumor. Are you persuaded, Neo-Europeans?
